Arizona Golf Properties
February 3, 2006
Some of the most popular golf properties are not in the areas
you'd think. Most golfers would probably say the Hilton
Head real estate area of South Carolina is the most popular area, but they'd be wrong.
Surprisingly, Arizona golf properties have been the most
popular golf property of choice of late. While Arizona has been a long-standing retirement
destination it's now becoming an extremely popular golf property destination for many. Arizona
golf property is a diamond in the rough with year round sunny skies, affordable single-family
homes, and lots of well-groomed golf courses. Everyone knows the summers in Arizona get hot,
but the heat is typically more bearable because it's dry and there's usually golf course cooling
with the misters to help keep you cool when playing.
The Phoenix and area golf courses like Scottsdale are more prominent and the Scottsdale
Arizona golf properties area are probably the better-known golf communities as well as the Phoenix
Arizona golf properties, but the gem is in Gilbert Arizona. The Gilbert
Arizona golf properties are starting to rival Scottsdale
and have been drawing a lot of attention over the last year or so with unbelievable
appreciation in property values. Even with the appreciation Gilbert properties have seen over
the last year, the property values are still very reasonable including those with golf
course views.
Gilbert has doubled its population every five years and is now home to approximately 127,000
residents. Gilbert is revitalizing with new businesses and restoration of historical buildings
and horse trails. It also provides its residents excellent educational opportunities at all
levels, and it also provides its residents with the best in recreation. From parks to
playgrounds, lakes, and miles of walking, running, biking and horseback riding trails, Gilbert is an
"outdoor activity" town. Gilbert is a wonderful place to make a home. Here are
all the neighborhoods in Gilbert. Just click on the neighborhood you're interested in.

Proud residents of Western Skies Estates in Gilbert credit their neighborhood's appeal to the
Western Skies Golf Club and homeowners' camaraderie. With half the homes having golf-course

collecting stray golf balls, exercising their dogs or visiting with neighbors.
Once a month, neighbors on Palomino Creek Drive get together for girl's night out, said one
neighbor. Residents in this neighborhood say they are working to improve common areas with new
white fencing, entrance monuments and landscaping.

Gilbert," said by another resident. "We're constantly improving what we have."

Eighteen holes of spectacular Arizona championship golf meander their way through the cleansed
desert of the Queen Creek wash, following with every turn the subtle elevation changes of the area.
The par-71 Trilogy Golf Club at Power Ranch located in the southeast Phoenix Valley was designed by
golf course architect Dick Bailey and stretches over 6,700 yards.
Natural undulations and strategically placed mounding combine with Trilogy's natural setting to
create a golf course that is able to both challenge the accomplished player and accommodate the

they are drama, and challenges the player to utilize the imagination, in addition to nearly every
club in the bag.

Greenfield Lakes Golf Course
2484 E Warner Rd
Gilbert, AZ 85296
(480) 503-0500
Green Field Lakes is a player-friendly executive 18-hole golf course that features 12 par-3s, four
par-4s and two par-5s. For the most part, it's a full-scale golf course, as the par-3s range between
116 and 203 yards, the par-4s average 350 yards, and the par-5s go 475 and 530 yards. In other
words, you'll use every club in your bag.
There are some nice views of the Superstition Mountains and Four Peaks, but most of the aesthetic
value now comes from the four lakes that the course is played around, bringing water into play on
seven holes. The 18th, a double dogleg with water on the right, is the signature hole that caps the
course's best stretch, which begins at the 16th, another long par-4. The middle hole of that run is
a long par-3.
Greenfield Lakes also is an excellent place to learn and practice the game, with a lighted driving
range that stays open until 10 p.m. The staff, which is headed by PGA professional Jimmy Pierce, has
a close relationship with the Gilbert community. Pierce hosts numerous teaching clinics and also
offers classes through the Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
Golf course views are ranging from $327,000
for a 3-bedroom 2-bath 1,661 sq. ft. home to $666,000
for a 6-bedroom 3.5-bath 4,038 sq. ft. home. Click on either one of these home value
amounts to get a satellite aerial view of the properties on the course, which is brought to you by www.zillow.com.
